People often try to make their wedding memorable for their family and friends by finding unique ideas for their wedding.  Many people struggle to do so because they often have too many ideas; but this is really not rocket science.  You have to do it right from the beginning starting with your engagement session.

1.  Theme

Get your mind clear and dumb some of the ideas out of your head.  If your wedding is vintage theme, stay with vintage style for your engagement session.  Most couples pick a picture out of their engagement session to be displayed at the reception entrance, it wouldn't make too much sense to have a modern city skyline backdrop engagement picture surrounding by vintage décor.

2. Location

If you are going for a vintage wedding.  Talk to your photographer about going into the woods to the fields where wild flowers grow rapidly.  Downtown and other urban areas wouldn't be your best option.

3. Colors

Do not over-do on colors.  Just because your wedding theme color is purple doesn't mean every single piece you are wearing has to be purple, and wearing every single color on the color chart will only make you look like a christmas tree.  Think of wearing something natural with a touch of your wedding theme color, purple and white balloons would be a very good option.

4. Know your photographer

You always want to make sure your photographer is capable of doing the result you are looking for before hiring him/her.  For example, does he/she has the skills to do some extreme makeover or text editing on your picture?  And the cost.  Because you may end up finding yourself wasting more time and money looking for a different person to edit the picture for you.
